My Approach
Having trained as an integrative therapist, I work with a variety of therapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic, humanistic and DBT (Dialectic Behaviour Therapy). We are all much more than an accumulation of diagnoses and symptoms; my integrative approach allows me to tailor the therapeutic relationship to reflect the uniqueness of each client and their worries.
My therapeutic style is down to earth, authentic and grounded in an understanding of the importance of relationships. I help my clients explore their stories with the aim of freeing them from old habits and fears, and facilitate meaningful transformation.
I welcome people from all backgrounds and ethnicities, sexual orientations and genders, ages, religions and classes. I strive to be sensitive to all the issues - both individual and cultural - that people from various backgrounds encounter in this world.
I believe therapy can activate the potential everyone has to move forward. It can provide a short-cut to help you discover a more peaceful way to be; it is about making you feel better in the long run. This might not happen immediately, but through a regular review process, we make sure we stay on track to help you make the changes you are hoping for.

Areas of Expertise
Counselling
Counselling might be suitable for you if you find yourself in a crisis or situation which is causing you particular difficulties. You might have a distinct issue you would like to work on, such as:
• relationship issues
• making a decision
• work-related problems
• loss and bereavement
Councelling is useful to clarify a problem in a supportive environment, find coping strategies and explore your options and needs for further support.
Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT teaches you concrete skills that you can use in everyday life to help you navigate your world. These skills are grouped under the categories of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Psychotherapy
If your objective is to get to the bottom of some deeper issues (for instance you would like to explore repeated relationship difficulties) or have several different issues you'd like to approach, psychotherapy might be for you.
People who find themselves in psychotherapy usually want to change core behavioural patterns which often requires steady and consistent work.
